Ian R Mowatt and HardScrabble Solutions will be hosting a silent auction of artwork from the April First Friday Art Walks Emotional Hills show. This will take place on Saturday, April 28 from 6-9 pm.
Ian R Mowatt debuted the original pieces for First Friday Downtown Art Walks and received great praise from the community.
My Artist Statement: Emotional Hills
We live in a world where nature and technology have started to come together. Instead of inventions that go against the natural order, we see creations are starting to work hand in hand with it. We see where past and future meet to make the present. This is where you will find my art work, holding on to the spirit of nature while complimenting the structure and order of our created day to day lives. My influences range from Van Gough, to da Vinci, and Picasso, to an everyday kid who is just trying to get anyone to appreciate their graffiti. We all find inspiration from everything around us, so when I create my artwork I hope it helps inspire others as well. I still have much to learn as a self taught artist and I can’t wait or the next hill to climb.
