Girl Scouts of Maine Troop 805 recently visited the Presque Isle Utilities District water treatment facility where they witnessed a municipal filtration system in action. It was ‘slightly’ bigger than the one they designed here at HardScrabble Solutions!
It also inspired further experimentation with pH.
These girls will make their selves, families, and communities better with a solid STEM foundation forged through experiences in Girl Scouts of Maine.
Troop 805 is a Daisy/Brownie blend with children ranging in age from five through eight. Some of the siblings are as young as two! They meet regularly at HardScrabble Solutions where their time is free as a registered nonprofit.
